DC Public Charter School Board renews ITDS’ charter for an additional 5 years

First 8th graders to high schools
ITDS promotes the first class of 8th graders to attend high schools across DC

ITDS Musical Launch
ITDS launches it’s annual musical theatre production with a performance of The Little Mermaid, Jr. The production includes over 150 students in grades 2-8.

Strategic Plan Complete
After engaging with more than 300 students, alumni, staff, and families in a strategic planning process, the Board of Directors adopts Our Inspired Roadmap, a five-year vision that names bold goals to ensure that all ITDS students have a challenging, meaningful, and joyful learning experience.

ITDS participates in the Inclusive Schools Network week of action to promote inclusive, understanding, and affirming practices.

Ground Floor Renovation
The existing ground floor is renovated entirely to add 6 classrooms, large collaborative open spaces, teacher work spaces, additional offices and conference rooms.
